The PCH remote controll only allows to swich of the display. The PCH and its hdd is afterwards still running and produces heat, sound and power costs. The only alternative is to pull the plug. It would be very essential to have a switch off and a stand by mode. Than the user can decide whether he will wait for the boot process or not.

this cant be released over firmware this is hardware side! if you want that the hdd spins down in standby then you have to stop the servers inside the setup.
But this is not an BUG!!!

I totally disagree. IMHO this is a serious bug in the software design and it should be possible to fix it. Nobody wants to frickle within the settings before switching the unit to standby remotely. The standby button should kill all running servers and switch off the power from all sockets.

it surprises me, that someone picked up this topic. I've sent this unit back because lots of things have to be improved and the initial reply was in some way a bid ignorant. Will see if things changed.
